Downtown Athens, 01.17.15

I am a sucker for the tiniest bit of colorful art and Downtown Athens is full of it. Put one and one together and voilà, you can always find me in front of a vibrant graffiti or a kaleidoscopic drawing.

I am also a sucker for bomber jackets, the more Grease-like the better. So this brand new H&M lilac piece was a very welcome addition to my closet, that I plan on wearing a lot. Purple tones are apparently having a comeback so get your lavender s*it together before its too late.

Mauve painted nails get extra points.

Wearing bomber jacket H&M (an embellished version here, a baseball version here), sleeveless knit Zara, jeans H&M, Dunk SKY sneakers Nike, pearl headband Zara (on sale), leather bag Reiss (a nice alternative here)

Walking Rainbow

A friend of mine told me I should dress in all black.

This is my answer.

Rainbow yeti spotted in downtown Athens, taking pictures of anything combining more than 3 colors, seeing everything pink (like the rest 6 days of the week) and enjoying THAT Greek sun (magic country much?). Did a little bit of shopping too to help with the mood cramps. 😉

It worked.

Wearing this (pretty awesome) Asos faux fur, skinny jeans, Pull & Bear fringed leather sneakers (a similar white version here), Wildfox mirrored sunglasses, long sweater, Unicorn iPhone case

Fighting Falcon 16

You know you’re fly when you watch action movies and daydream about being an Air Force pilot. You know you’re superfly when you manage to buy a vintage F16 yourself and casually park it on your front lawn. For everyone to see.

Being nowhere near fly or superfly myself, the least I could do was take a bunch of pics and go back to watching Top Gun.

Mission Accomplished.

Wearing a leopard faux fur from Topshop (similar here and here), G Star Raw sweater, boyfriend jeans, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Asos flower sunglasses (that you can easily DIY) IMG_9543IMG_9524 IMG_9509IMG_9525 downloadIMG_9528 10891523_1006008009412966_551343545025077037_n

Igloo Weather

When a male penguin falls in love with a female penguin, he searches the entire beach to find the perfect pebble to present to her. When he finally finds it, he waddles over and places the pebble right in front of her. If the pebble is accepted they are mates for life.

Let’s waddle together, flipper in flipper.

Cats & Dogs

There ain’t no animal I met and did not like and I did (try to) pet them all. Some were willing, some (I guess) not. It’s just that I grew up with dogs always being around (and ON the beds) and although I was bitten a couple of times, I can’t love these creatures enough.

Lately and thanks to certain girlfriends I spend too much time with (you know who you are, both of you), I progressed from a dog person to a cat lady. And now I am both.

I only find comfort in my alter ego Elmyra Duff who understands.

Check this video here to feel me.

No animals were harmed during this blog post by the way.

Sweater H&M (a cropped version here), slip dress worn as skirt Urban Outfitters, boots, rings Folli Follie, harness belt Asos, dogs and cats stray

The End

The end of a love affair, the end of an era, the end of the world (I DO believe you Fox Mulder).

All good things come to an end but life goes on. The sooner we realise, the better. There’s no time for regret, looking back and worrying too much. After all life IS short and we have to make the best of it.

Long story short, if you love your fries, eat them (or get a pommes frites covered laptop sleeve instead).

What I’m wearing: my favourite New Balance sneakers, a cropped sweater from Brandy Melville, a faux fur scarf, a ruffled skirt from Zara, a crystal earcuff from F21, a fries laptop case from Tiger

Cat Love

Catnip doesn’t only get cats high.

I hope my dogs will not be seeing this.

If you are it was really not my fault, I was literally surrounded by 20 cats (many of them black), all of them high on catnip and left me no choice but to pet them (I was basically abused). I am in no way a cat person and I will not do this again.

It was the catnip.

I am bringing beef sticks.

Feeling Fur-ious

I can’t say I love this weather but I do enjoy the digging in my closet for winter attire aka faux fur coats, fringed leather jackets and the occasional coloured trench coat. Fuzzy sweaters and super long pullovers are my thing and rediscovering my wardrobe is kind of fun. Like going second hand shopping. Plus everything’s free!

And if that doesn’t work either there’s always a boyfriend you can steal that varsity jacket from.

Bring it on, Winter.

Recreate the look with white brogues/loafers, high waisted jeans, white sweater, striped faux fur coat

University of Southern California

The one thing I do regret in my life is not enrolling at USC when the time was right (sorry UCLA, I do love you, too). Visiting the campus in the heart of downtown LA (at night AND pretty illegally I must confess) I was drawn to all that opportunity and that “SKULLS” vibe that is evident everywhere. I sneaked in the stadium, I chased a drunken opossum and learned the tale of how the alumni celebrate their graduation by climbing all (and there are many) the fountains located in the campus.

And since I’ve had my fair share of academic studying (and biology was not easy) I can only listen in ecstasy all those USC stories my friends kept telling over outdoor fires, eating marshmallows from sticks and just being a proud imposter by wearing my fave USC tee.

Go Trojans!

Yellow hat, fringed leather jacket, ripped denim, leather boots, USC tee

Winter dressing.

In my book that means beanies, turtlenecks, the occasional oversized fur and BOOTS. Make them thigh high and I’m willing to withstand below 30 Celsius for another 3 months (I’m talking maximums here). All black and a hint of pink to break the ice (literally), I’m contemplating skiing, hot cocoa with marshmallows and endless procrastinating over a million glossy glossies.

I’m officially cold.

Wearing a pair of Sante Shoes thigh high peep toe boots, beanie Jumbo (a SAINT version here), suede leather shorts, black cotton turtleneck
